Show:
How an aftercooler works and what it can do for your compressed
air system.

Each
box represents moisture present in 1-cubic foot of
air @ atmospheric pressure.
|
|
Now
12-cubic feet of air @ atmospheric pressure is reduced
to 1-cublic foot of air when compressed to 160 PSI.
This 1-cubic foot of air now contains 12 times the
moisture.

Benefits:
When air is compressed it is heated up to as high as 350 degrees causing water
to turn to vapor and become suspended. The aftercooler cools compressed air
down to within 15 degrees above ambient temperature. This substantially reduces
the water and other contaminants in your air supply, as water will be reduced
by 1/2 for every 20 degree reduction in temperature.
Performance
based on 250-degree inlet air temperature, all models.
Maximum operating pressure 250 PSIG, all models.
Maximum operating temperature 350 degrees F., all models.
