When compressed air from your compressor is heated it vaporizes and suspends water particles. Having an aftercooler cools the compressed air down to within 15 degrees above ambient air temperature. This substantially reduces water and other contaminants to the supplied air from the compressor. This results in up to a 65% less moisture your compressor creates during normal operation. Aftercoolers can be mounted onto any compressors beltguard to help with reducing the moisture levels to your tools and end components. This is a great way to start dealing with moisture and a way to protect your tank, and other tools you have invested in. We also carry free-standing aftercoolers which can be placed on the floor or mounted nearby and have there own fan cooling system which does not rely upon the pump flywheel to cool down the compressed air.
