When hot, compressed air is created, it vaporizes and suspends water particles.  Having an aftercooler cools the compressed air down to within 15 degrees above ambient air temperature.  This substantially reduces water, and other biproduct contaminants, to the supplied air from the compressor.  This results in up to 65% less moisture that the compressor creates during normal operation.

Aftercoolers can be mounted onto any compressor's belt guard, to help reduce the moisture levels to your tools and end components.  This is a great way to start dealing with moisture, and a way to protect your tank, and other tools you have already invested in.

We also carry free-standing aftercoolers which can be placed on the floor or mounted nearby, and have their own fan cooling system, which does not rely upon the pump flywheel to cool down the compressed air.
